NG-CDF Board Breaks Ground for New Science Laboratory at Kibomet Primary School

The National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF) has launched the construction of a new science laboratory at Kibomet Primary School, marking a major investment in strengthening science education in Keiyo South Constituency.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on Monday, was led by NG-CDF Board Director Hon. Gabriel Kago, accompanied by a delegation from the Board. The project will see the construction and equipping of a modern 45-student capacity science laboratory, funded under the 2024/2025 Financial Year through the Best Practice Demonstration Programme (BPDP).

According to the NG-CDF Board, the facility is designed to enhance practical learning, improve scientific literacy, and promote better performance in science subjects. The laboratory will enable learners to conduct hands-on experiments while giving teachers the tools and resources needed to effectively deliver the science curriculum.

Area Member of Parliament Hon. Gideon Kimaiyo, who attended the event, welcomed the project, describing it as a significant step toward improving education standards in the constituency.

The NG-CDF continues to implement transformative projects across the country, focusing on improving infrastructure, advancing digital literacy, and promoting grassroots development. Officials credited the Fund’s continued progress to the visionary leadership of NG-CDF Chief Executive Officer Yusuf Mbuno, whose stewardship has strengthened accountability and community-centered development.

The Kibomet science laboratory project is expected to boost learners’ interest in science and better prepare them for future academic and career pathways in STEM fields.
