MP Oscar Sudi Applauds Talent Empowerment Efforts at Bella Cheres’ Vibrant Album Launch in Soy
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has praised the growing momentum behind youth talent development in Uasin Gishu County after a colourful and high-energy celebration of local artistry at Chepkigen Primary School in Ziwa Sirikwa, Soy Constituency.
The event, held for the official launch of Bella Cheres’ new album, brought together county leaders, ward representatives, families, and music lovers from across the region. The day doubled as a Talent Empowerment showcase, allowing dozens of young performers to present their skills before an enthusiastic audience.
MP Sudi, who joined Uasin Gishu Governor H.E. Jonathan Chelilim Bii and other leaders at the event, highlighted the importance of investing in grassroots talent. He noted that creative arts remain a powerful avenue for youth empowerment, job creation, and community cohesion.
“Our young people are incredibly gifted, and what we saw here today is proof of the talent that exists in our villages and estates,” Sudi said during his address. “Events like this do more than entertain—they inspire, they empower, and they open doors for young people who often lack platforms to showcase their potential.”
Sudi commended Bella Cheres for her artistic milestone and for using her platform to uplift other upcoming creatives. He challenged more artists and community leaders to emulate her commitment to mentorship and inclusion.
The crowd was treated to a variety of performances ranging from music and dance to spoken-word poetry, with many spectators describing the day as a “celebration of raw, homegrown talent.” Youthful performers, some taking the stage for the first time, were particularly applauded for their confidence and creativity.
Governor Bii also reiterated the county’s focus on supporting the creative industry, noting that nurturing talent at the grassroots level paves the way for broader economic and social development.
Community members expressed pride in seeing their youth shine on such a public stage, emphasizing that the event marked a meaningful boost for local morale and cultural expression.
MP Sudi pledged continued support for talent initiatives across Kapseret and the wider Uasin Gishu region, encouraging sustained collaboration between leaders, community groups, and creative practitioners.
With the successful turnout and a strong show of unity, the event has been hailed as a major step forward in spotlighting and empowering young talent—setting the stage for even more artistic growth in the region.
