Marsabit Woman Representative Hon Naomi Waqo has lauded the opening of the newly upgraded Sololo Level 4 Hospital, terming it a critical milestone in expanding access to quality healthcare for residents of Northern Kenya.
Speaking during the official launch in Sololo, Hon Waqo said the facility will ease the burden on families who have long been forced to travel long distances in search of medical services.
The event was presided over by Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, who reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening service delivery across the country. The ceremony was hosted by Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali and attended by Hon. Sopian Tuya, several Principal Secretaries, chief executives of state agencies, and other leaders.
Hon Waqo noted that the Level 4 facility reflects the impact of collaboration between national and county governments, as well as the value of responsive leadership in addressing community needs.
“This hospital is a testament to what we can achieve when we prioritise the well-being of our people,” she said, thanking the Sololo community for their warm reception and steadfast support.
The launch is expected to enhance healthcare outcomes in Sololo and the wider Marsabit region, offering residents improved access to essential and emergency services.
