Kipchumba Karori Eldoret International Volleyball Tournament Opens Free Entry for Schools, Extends Registration Deadline
The organizers of the 2025 Kipchumba Karori Eldoret International Volleyball Tournament have announced a major update that promises to make the event more inclusive and accessible to young athletes. All primary and secondary schools will now enjoy free entry to participate in this year’s tournament, thanks to the generosity of the event’s sponsor and patron.
The tournament, set to take place from December 18 to 21, 2025, in Eldoret, has grown to become one of the premier volleyball events in Kenya, attracting both local and regional teams across multiple categories, including senior men and women, self-supporting teams, and school-level competitions.
In a statement released by the tournament coordinator, Paul Bitok, schools interested in participating are required to submit an official request letter to be registered through the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF). The deadline for submission of these requests has been set for 15th December 2025, following an extension aimed at allowing more teams to complete the registration process.
“We sincerely appreciate our sponsor and Patron for this thoughtful gesture and for supporting this vital category of the tournament. Free entry for schools ensures that young athletes can participate without financial barriers and focus on showcasing their talent,” Mr. Bitok said.
The tournament will maintain a maximum limit of 64 self-supporting teams, ensuring a well-organized and competitive environment for all participants. Organizers emphasized that the extended registration deadline provides an opportunity for more schools to be part of the prestigious event, which is renowned for promoting sportsmanship, skill development, and community engagement.
The 2025 edition of the Kipchumba Karori Eldoret International Tournament promises exciting matches across all categories, with substantial prize money awarded to winners, runners-up, and third-placed teams in senior and school divisions. The free participation initiative is expected to encourage widespread involvement and strengthen the development of volleyball at the grassroots level.
Organizers also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all participants who attended the unveiling ceremony, as well as to sponsors and patrons whose continued support has helped elevate the tournament into a nationally recognized event.
For further information or registration, schools are urged to contact the tournament coordinator, Paul Bitok, at +254 725 877367.
With free school entry and extended deadlines, the 2025 Kipchumba Karori Eldoret International Volleyball Tournament is set to be a vibrant celebration of youth talent, competitive spirit, and community engagement in Eldoret.
