Gor Mahia FC Seal Sponsorship Deal with Plascon Paints Ahead of 2026 Season

Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia FC have secured a major corporate boost after signing a sponsorship partnership with Plascon Paints for the 2026 season.

The agreement, unveiled on Monday in Nairobi, marks Plascon Paints’ official entry as one of the club’s corporate sponsors and is expected to strengthen Gor Mahia’s commercial profile as it pursues long-term growth and success on and off the pitch.

Speaking during the signing ceremony, Gor Mahia FC patron Eliud Owalo hailed the partnership as a milestone for the record Kenyan champions, describing Plascon Paints—formerly Sadolin Paints—as a brand that aligns naturally with the club’s rich history and national appeal.

“Gor Mahia is one of the most recognisable and successful sporting brands in Kenya, and this partnership presents an opportunity for mutual value, enhanced brand visibility, and sustainable growth,” Owalo said.

Owalo also challenged the private sector to invest more deliberately in community-based football clubs, noting that strong grassroots and community teams are essential to talent development and the long-term competitiveness of the national team, Harambee Stars.

Outlining the club’s broader ambitions, Owalo said Gor Mahia is positioning itself to become Africa’s biggest and most successful football institution. He revealed that the club will continue to court additional corporate partners in 2026 as it transitions into a fully-fledged corporate entity guided by strong governance structures. Part of this vision includes priority partnerships to support key infrastructure projects, notably the construction of a modern, state-of-the-art Gor Mahia FC stadium.

Plascon Paints Chief Executive Officer Kota Enami said the company was proud to associate with Gor Mahia FC, citing shared values of discipline, ethics, and excellence.

“Gor Mahia FC is a natural strategic fit for us. We are excited to partner with an organisation whose passion, legacy, and commitment to success mirror our own,” Enami said.

The signing ceremony was attended by Gor Mahia FC chairman Ambrose Rachier, secretary general Nick Arum, treasurer Gerphas Okuku, members of the technical bench led by head coach Charles Ajannor, and players from the senior squad.

Plascon Paints was represented by its CEO Kota Enami, marketing manager Kunal Biswas, head of human resources Bernard Ogango, and other senior company officials.

The partnership is expected to play a key role in supporting Gor Mahia’s competitive ambitions during the 2026 season while enhancing Plascon Paints’ visibility within Kenya’s vibrant football landscape.
