Tophill Hospital on Sunday joined the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) and partners at both national and county levels in commemorating the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims (WDoR2025). The event took place at Central Primary School grounds in Uasin Gishu County.

Led by the hospital’s Head of Marketing Joseph Bor and his colleague Shadrack Komen, the team participated in activities aimed at honoring those who have lost their lives in road crashes, supporting survivors, and raising awareness about the growing need for enhanced road safety measures.

WDoR, marked globally every year, provides a platform to reflect on the devastating impact of road traffic incidents on families and communities. Organizers noted that the day serves not only as a tribute to victims but also as a call to action to prevent further tragedies through responsible road use and strengthened safety policies.

During the event, Tophill Hospital offered ambulatory services and free medical check-ups to attendees, ensuring timely medical support and promoting health consciousness among the public.

The commemoration brought together road safety stakeholders, medical professionals, affected families, and community members, all united by the shared mission of reducing road carnage and advocating for safer roads across the country.

The World Day of Remembrance continues to highlight the urgent need for collaborative action to curb the alarming rates of road traffic fatalities and injuries in Kenya.
