Tophill Hospital Provides Vital Medical Support at Moiben Connections Marathon
Tophill Hospital played a key role in ensuring the safety of participants at the Moiben Connections Marathon, which featured a 21km race for men and a 10km race for women. The hospital’s team of paramedics was on-site throughout the event, providing medical care and emergency support to runners and spectators alike.
The team was led by Joseph Bor, Head of Marketing at Top Hill Hospital, who coordinated the hospital’s involvement and emphasized the importance of community health initiatives. Bor noted that while the hospital’s ambulance was deployed elsewhere to assist victims in Chesongoch and Sambirir, the paramedic team remained vigilant, attending to any medical needs arising at the marathon.
“Top Hill Hospital is committed to safeguarding our community, not just within the walls of our facilities but wherever we are needed,” Bor said. “Sporting events like this bring people together, and we are proud to support both participants and organizers by ensuring their health and safety.”
The marathon, which attracts runners from across Uasin Gishu County and beyond, posed several challenges, including hydration, fatigue, and minor injuries. The presence of trained paramedics gave participants reassurance and allowed the organizers to run the event smoothly.
Event organizers expressed their gratitude to Top Hill Hospital for their timely and professional support. One organizer remarked, “Having Top Hill Hospital’s paramedics on standby made a huge difference. Their quick response and expertise gave everyone confidence that help was immediately available if needed.”
Top Hill Hospital’s involvement at the marathon is part of its broader commitment to community engagement and public health outreach. By actively participating in local events, the hospital demonstrates its dedication to promoting healthy lifestyles, safety, and wellness throughout the region.
Bor concluded by encouraging residents to prioritize their health and participate in community events safely, saying, “Whether you’re running a marathon or supporting from the sidelines, taking care of your health should always come first. We are here to ensure that everyone can do so safely.”
