PCS Musalia Mudavadi Leads Quarterly Briefing on Kenya’s Foreign and Diaspora Affairs
Diaspora Affairs Principal Secretary Ms. Roseline Njogu and Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Dr. Abraham Korir Sing’oei today joined Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, H.E. Musalia Mudavadi, during the Ministry’s quarterly briefing held in Nairobi.
The Prime Cabinet Secretary addressed a wide range of national, regional, and international issues, with a key focus on the Diaspora Diplomacy pillar of Kenya’s Foreign Policy.
Highlighting progress under the Diaspora Workforce (Kazi Majūu) initiative, the PCS revealed that over 430,000 Kenyans have secured employment opportunities in the global labour market since 2023. This, he noted, has significantly boosted the national economy, with diaspora remittances rising from KSh 651.7 billion in 2024 to KSh 1 trillion by August 2025.
The government reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to protecting the rights and welfare of Kenyans abroad, while strengthening partnerships to expand labour migration opportunities and enhance consular services.
The session brought together senior officials from the Ministry, development partners, and representatives of key diplomatic missions.
PS Roseline Njogu, known for her humility, warmth, and steadfast dedication, continues to endear herself to many as a darling of the diaspora community. We pray that God continues to shower her with His immense and limitless blessings — granting her good health, wisdom, and grace as she serves the nation with distinction.
