Mombasa Woman Representative Hon. Zamzam Mohamed Commends Government Support as Women of Lake Ngombe Receive Empowerment Funds

 Mombasa County Woman Representative Hon. Zamzam Mohamed has expressed her gratitude following the successful disbursement of empowerment funds to women in the Lake Ngombe area.

Speaking during the announcement, Hon. Zamzam Mohamed thanked the national government for its continued commitment to uplifting women and supporting community-based economic growth.

“Thank you, mothers of Lake Ngombe. The empowerment funds have now reached your area. Let us put these resources to work — start and grow your businesses so that our children can have a brighter future,” she said.

Hon. Zamzam further extended appreciation to H.E. President William Samoei Ruto and Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Prof. Kithure Kindiki for standing with the mothers of Mombasa.

She also recognized the efforts of Hon. Hamisi Nyota and Mrs. Saidi Abdallah for their instrumental role in organizing and mobilizing women’s groups to access the empowerment initiative.

“Let us move forward with determination. Together, we are building a generation of financially independent women — true money machines,” she added.

The empowerment initiative aims to strengthen women’s economic participation in Mombasa County, promote self-reliance, and enhance household incomes.
