Mandago, MP Julius Ruto Visit Landslide Survivors at MTRH

Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago and Kesses Member of Parliament (MP) CPA Julius Ruto on Sunday visited survivors of the recent landslide tragedy in Chesongoch, Elgeyo Marakwet County, who are receiving treatment at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Eldoret.
The leaders expressed their sympathy and solidarity with the affected families, assuring them of continued support as they recover from the devastating incident that claimed several lives and left many injured.
“It was comforting to see that the survivors are receiving quality medical care and are steadily recovering,” said Senator Mandago. “Our prayers and support remain with all the affected families as they heal from this painful experience.”
The two leaders also commended the MTRH medical team for their swift response and professionalism in handling the emergency cases.
“We sincerely thank the MTRH fraternity for the excellent work they are doing in treating and caring for the victims,” MP Julius Ruto said. “Their dedication is a great example of service to humanity.”
The landslide, which struck Chesongoch in Elgeyo Marakwet County, left dozens displaced and caused significant damage to homes and infrastructure. Relief efforts are ongoing as both county and national governments coordinate humanitarian assistance for the affected communities.
Senator Mandago and MP Ruto urged Kenyans to continue offering moral and material support to the victims as they rebuild their lives.
