Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei Leads Cancer Awareness Drive at Run & Walk 2025 in Eldoret

Uasin Gishu County Women Representative, Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei, on Saturday officiated the Run & Walk 2025 event held at Mother of Apostle Seminary, Eldoret, an inspiring gathering dedicated to raising awareness and support for individuals and families affected by cancer.

The annual event brought together hundreds of participants—including cancer survivors, families, students, sponsors, and volunteers—all united under the theme of “Strength, Hope, and Solidarity.”

Speaking during the event, Hon. Shollei expressed deep gratitude to all who took part in the initiative, emphasizing the importance of continued community engagement in the fight against cancer.

“I am deeply honored to have officiated Run & Walk 2025—an event that stands as a powerful symbol of hope, courage, and compassion. Today, we celebrate our cancer warriors, support those in treatment, and remember the loved ones we’ve lost,” Hon. Shollei said.

She extended heartfelt appreciation to the event sponsors, organizing committee, volunteers, and every participant who showed up in pink—the color representing solidarity with cancer fighters.

“Together, we are stronger. Through awareness, early screening, and collective action, we can save lives and bring light to many families across Uasin Gishu and Kenya at large,” she added.
