Oburu Oginga Makes First Visit to Chungwa House as Acting ODM Leader

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) acting party leader, Dr. Oburu Oginga, on Monday made his first official visit to the party’s headquarters, Chungwa House, since assuming his new position.

During the visit, Dr. Oginga held a series of meetings with key party officials, including Secretary General Edwin Sifuna, Executive Director Oduor Ong’wen, and Deputy Organising Secretary Ruth Odinga. The discussions reportedly centered on strengthening the party’s internal structures and enhancing coordination ahead of upcoming political activities.

Party insiders said the meeting also focused on ensuring a smooth transition in leadership and maintaining unity within the ODM ranks following recent changes in the top leadership.

Dr. Oginga’s visit marks a significant moment for the ODM family as he takes charge in an acting capacity, pledging to uphold the party’s ideals and continue steering it as a strong opposition force in the country’s political landscape.

He is expected to meet other regional party leaders and grassroots officials in the coming days as part of efforts to consolidate ODM’s support base across the country.
