University of Eldoret Holds Leadership Handover Ceremony at Town Campus

 

The University of Eldoret today marked a significant moment of transition and continuity with a vibrant handover ceremony at its Town Campus, as outgoing Director Prof. Linnet Gohole officially passed the leadership mantle to Dr. Emily Too.

The event, attended by faculty, staff, and university officials, underscored the institution’s commitment to orderly leadership succession and collaborative progress. In her farewell remarks, Prof. Gohole expressed deep appreciation for the support she received during her four-year tenure, noting that the unity and dedication of staff were instrumental in the growth and stability of the campus.

“I am truly grateful for the unwavering support and teamwork that defined my time here,” said Prof. Gohole. “As I step down, I urge you to support Dr. Too twice as much as you supported me, for the continued success of this campus.”

Incoming Director Dr. Emily Too outlined her strategic vision for the Town Campus, highlighting three priority areas: strengthening organizational structure, reinforcing strong work ethics, and promoting excellent service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. She emphasized the importance of treating clients with respect and ensuring operational efficiency across all departments.

“We must foster a culture of unity, discipline, and professionalism,” Dr. Too stated. “It is only through collective effort that we will realize the full potential of this campus and deliver on our mandate.”
