Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has extended his warm congratulations to English Premier League side Chelsea Football Club following their historic triumph in the FIFA Club World Cup.

In a statement released from the Governor’s office, Natembeya lauded Chelsea’s dedication, tactical discipline, and the unity that propelled them to global victory.

“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chelsea Football Club for their remarkable achievement in winning the FIFA Club World Cup. Their talent, teamwork, and dedication have brought immense pride not only to their supporters across the globe but also to the broader football community,” said Governor Natembeya.

The Governor, known for his deep interest in youth empowerment and sports development, emphasized the value of discipline, strategy, and resilience—traits he noted were on full display throughout Chelsea’s campaign.

“Chelsea’s victory is not just a celebration for their fans, but a powerful message to young athletes here in Trans Nzoia and across Kenya that dreams are achievable with focus and commitment,” he added.

Governor Natembeya also called on local sports authorities and stakeholders to invest more in grassroots football, noting that the inspiration drawn from global football events like the Club World Cup can ignite untapped talent within Kenyan youth.

“This moment reminds us of the importance of nurturing talent. Let us be encouraged to support and invest in our local teams and youth, for they too have the potential to shine on the global stage.”

Chelsea’s Club World Cup title was sealed in dramatic fashion, further cementing their place among football’s elite and adding another feather to the club’s growing collection of international silverware.
