A powerful HR manager at a top Nairobi real estate company left staff speechless this week after breaking down in tears and publicly apologizing to a junior employee she had allegedly bullied for several months. What makes the situation even more mysterious is that no formal complaint had been filed, and the victim of the harassment had never spoken out.
The incident occurred during a routine Monday briefing attended by departmental heads and staff. Witnesses say the manager, known for her firm and often abrasive leadership style, suddenly went silent mid-presentation. After a long pause, she turned to the employee seated in the back row and began crying.
She then walked across the room, got on her knees, and pleaded for forgiveness in front of stunned colleagues.
“I was wrong,” she reportedly said. “You never deserved what I did.”
The junior employee, a soft-spoken woman in her late twenties, was clearly shocked and had to be helped to her feet. She had never spoken publicly about the mistreatment, although close colleagues knew she had been under emotional strain due to workplace hostility. to read more click here
