Trans‑Nzoia Governor George Natembeya has expressed pride and admiration following the coronation of Ms. Mirel Atieno Ngesa as Miss Earth Kenya 2025. Representing this county, Ms. Atieno’s triumph is being hailed as a significant milestone for youth empowerment and environmental stewardship.

At 26, the newly crowned Miss Earth Kenya has channeled her advocacy into transforming her home into a self‑sustaining environmental hub. She has “begun documenting her journey under the theme ‘rooted with Mirel’ to educate the public and inspire others, especially youths, to embrace sustainable farming as a powerful tool for climate action and food justice” .
