Uasin Gishu KUPPET Secretary Elijah Maiyo was among the key figures present during the Uasin Gishu County Secondary Schools Term 2 Sports Championship held at Moi Girls’ Eldoret and AIC Chebisas Boys School grounds.
The much-anticipated event brought together hundreds of student-athletes from various secondary schools across the county, competing in athletics, football, volleyball, handball, and other disciplines. The championship served as a platform to identify and nurture young talent while promoting teamwork, discipline, and academic excellence through sports.
Speaking at the event, Elijah Maiyo emphasized the importance of sports in shaping well-rounded students. “These championships are not just about competition, they are about developing the next generation of leaders, both on and off the field,” said Maiyo. “As KUPPET, we support holistic education that balances academics with co-curricular development.”
