Governor Natembeya : Two Years of Results Driven Leadership
Governor George Natembeya has lauded the transformative progress made in Trans-Nzoia County over the past two years, declaring that his administration has delivered more tangible results in that period than were seen in the previous decade.
In a candid address to residents and stakeholders, Governor Natembeya highlighted a series of milestones that reflect a shift from rhetoric to results, noting that the time for “empty promises and missed opportunities” is over.
“What we’ve accomplished in just two years cannot be compared with what our predecessor did in ten,” said Natembeya. “In this short period, we’ve brought real, tangible change—projects are on the ground, lives have been impacted, and systems reformed.”
Among the key achievements cited were the rehabilitation and equipping of over 100 health centers, the tarmacking of critical feeder roads to boost agriculture and trade, and the employment of over 1,000 ECDE teachers and health workers. The governor also pointed to reforms in county revenue collection and service delivery that have led to improved efficiency and accountability.
“This isn’t politics as usual; this is leadership with results,” he stated. “From rural health units to modern markets and youth empowerment programs, we are building a county that works for everyone.”
Governor Natembeya criticized the previous administration for what he termed as “ten years squandered on political games and personal gain,” asserting that the people of Trans-Nzoia deserve better.
“We’ve made our two years count—and the journey has only just begun. Our focus remains on inclusive development, transparent governance, and dignity for every resident.”
