Uasin Gishu County is stepping up efforts to strengthen economic ties with Poland in a move aimed at unlocking new investment opportunities, expanding international trade and promoting business partnerships.
A visit by a Polish business delegation has provided a platform for the county to position itself as a strategic investment destination while exploring opportunities to connect local enterprises with international investors.
Speaking during the engagement, Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii Chelilim said the growing partnership between Poland and the county would help enhance Eldoret's profile as an emerging economic and commercial hub.
“We have come to listen, learn, and identify opportunities for our companies to collaborate with partners here in Kenya and Uasin Gishu County,” said Governor Bii.
The discussions explored potential areas of cooperation in key sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, technology, agro-processing and industrial development.
The proposed collaboration is expected to create opportunities for local businesses to access international markets, attract foreign investors and strengthen trade relations between Uasin Gishu and Poland.
The county government also noted that the partnership could facilitate technology transfer, encourage knowledge sharing and promote investment in sectors with the potential to create employment and stimulate economic growth.
The engagement forms part of Uasin Gishu County's broader efforts to expand international partnerships and position Eldoret as a competitive destination for local and foreign investment.
