RVTTI SHINES AT WORLD TALENT CONFERENCE 2026 AS TRAINEES UNVEIL THREE INNOVATIVE PROJECTS
Rift Valley Technical Training Institute (RVTTI) has showcased its commitment to innovation and practical skills development after presenting three student-led innovations at the ongoing World Talent Conference 2026 in Kisumu.
The conference, being held at Africa Talent University, has provided a platform for institutions to exhibit innovative ideas, technological solutions and practical projects developed by trainees.
RVTTI presented three innovations developed by students from different engineering departments, highlighting the institution's growing contribution to technological advancement and skills development.
The innovations showcased include the LINDA MITI IoT, developed by Brighton Okoth and Faith Jepkirui from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department.
The second innovation, the HELIO WATER SYSTEM, was presented by Elvis Ndiolo and Nelson Leshan from the Building and Civil Engineering Department.
The institute also exhibited the SMART AUTOMATED VERTICAL CAR PARKING SYSTEM, developed by Mercy Cherotich and Christopher Oloo Onyango from the Mechanical and Automotive Engineering Department.
The three projects demonstrate the creativity, technical expertise and problem-solving abilities of RVTTI trainees, who continue to translate classroom knowledge into practical innovations.
The institute congratulated the participating students and their supervisors for their dedication and for proudly representing RVTTI at the national platform.
The participation also underscores the importance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in nurturing talent, promoting innovation and equipping young people with practical skills needed to address emerging societal and industrial challenges.
As a Centre of Excellence in TVET, RVTTI continues to position itself as a key player in promoting technology, creativity and innovation among trainees.
The institute's presence at the conference further highlights the growing role of TVET institutions in shaping Kenya's innovation and technological development agenda.
