PASSARIS LEADS ODM LEADERS IN COLOURFUL JACARANDA RALLY AS MONTH OF BABA ENDS
Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passaris has joined a host of Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leaders in a colourful rally at Jacaranda Grounds, Nairobi, marking the grand finale of the Month of Baba celebrations in honour of the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
The event attracted large crowds of supporters who walked from Uhuru Park to Jacaranda Grounds, turning the occasion into a massive show of support for the ODM party and a celebration of Raila's enduring political legacy.
Passaris described the gathering as a successful culmination of the Month of Baba, saying Nairobi had turned orange as thousands of supporters came together to celebrate the life and contribution of the veteran opposition leader.
She said the celebrations also provided an opportunity for ODM members to reaffirm their unity and commitment to working alongside President William Ruto.
The rally was attended by senior ODM leaders, including Deputy Party Leader and Kisii Governor Simba Arati, ODM National Chairperson and Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, Secretary General Catherine Omanyo and Nairobi ODM Chairperson George Aladwa.
Lang'ata MP Felix Jalang'o was also among the leaders present, alongside other Members of Parliament, MCAs, party officials and aspirants seeking elective positions on the ODM ticket.
Passaris noted that Nairobi ODM had turned out strongly in support of the Tutam Movement, with leaders and supporters demonstrating their continued commitment to the Orange Democratic Movement.
She maintained that although the Month of Baba had come to an end, Raila Odinga's legacy would continue to inspire the party and its supporters.
"The month may end, but Baba's legacy lives on! Nairobi is ORANGE! Chama iko imara!" Passaris declared.
The Jacaranda gathering underscored ODM's efforts to maintain party unity and mobilise its grassroots support while celebrating the legacy of one of Kenya's most influential political figures.
The event also highlighted the growing political significance of the Tutam Movement as ODM leaders continue to rally behind the party's political direction and cooperation with President Ruto.
