Mumina Bonaya Secures KSh74.5 Million M-Pesa Foundation Investment for Matarba Primary School

Isiolo Woman Representative Hon. Mumina Bonaya continues to advance efforts to improve education infrastructure in the county, with Matarba Primary School set to benefit from a major KSh74.5 million investment supported by the M-Pesa Foundation.

Bonaya announced that construction works at the school are scheduled to begin in January 2027 following a final online meeting with the M-Pesa Foundation team to review and finalise the project's construction plan.

The development marks an important milestone for the Matarba community, which is set to benefit from modern learning facilities designed to improve the quality of education and create a more supportive environment for learners.

The proposed investment will include classroom blocks, an Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) block and play area, a science laboratory and ICT facilities, among other essential infrastructure.

The comprehensive development is expected to address key infrastructure needs at the institution while expanding opportunities for learners to access quality education and modern learning resources.

Bonaya expressed satisfaction with the progress made during the planning process, assuring the Matarba community that the project remains firmly on course for implementation.

The KSh74.5 million investment represents a significant contribution towards strengthening education infrastructure in Cherab Sub-County and improving learning conditions for children in the area.

She also acknowledged the M-Pesa Foundation and the project team for their support, cooperation and commitment in advancing the initiative.

The project reflects the importance of partnerships between elected leaders, development organisations and local communities in addressing infrastructure gaps and accelerating social development.

For Bonaya, the Matarba Primary School project is part of the wider commitment to placing education at the centre of community transformation. By championing investments that improve school facilities, she is helping create an environment where learners can develop their talents, acquire essential skills and pursue greater opportunities.

As preparations move towards the January 2027 commencement, the Matarba community will be looking forward to the realisation of a project expected to make a lasting contribution to education in the area.

With the KSh74.5 million investment taking shape, Mumina Bonaya is keeping the focus on education, partnership and better opportunities for the next generation.
