𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

Hon. Beatrice Elachi CBS, participated in the African and Asian Parliamentarians’ Meeting on Population and Development held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

The meeting, organised by the Asian Population and Development Association (APDA) in collaboration with the African Forum of Parliamentarians on Population and Development (FPA), brought together parliamentarians and key stakeholders from Africa and Asia to share legislative and policy experiences and strengthen cross-regional parliamentary cooperation.

Discussions focused on integrating Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and population dynamics into national policy frameworks, strengthening parliamentary leadership in ending Gender-Based Violence (GBV), and promoting youth engagement in development processes.

The meeting provided a platform for parliamentarians to identify practical country-level actions towards inclusive and sustainable development, while strengthening collaboration between African and Asian legislators.
