Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Jacob Fikirini has expressed his condolences to the family of Cecil Ouma following his tragic and untimely death, saying he is fully cooperating with ongoing investigations into the incident.

In a statement, Fikirini described the circumstances surrounding Ouma’s death as deeply distressing and said the matter remains under active investigation by the National Police Service.

“I extend my deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of Cecil Ouma following his tragic and untimely death,” Fikirini said.

He added that no family should be forced to endure such a painful loss, especially under circumstances that remain unclear.

“No young life should end in such tragic and confounding circumstances,” he said.

The Youth PS revealed that he had recorded a statement with the National Police Service earlier in the day as part of the investigations.

According to Fikirini, seven other individuals, including officers serving in his office, have also recorded statements to assist investigators in establishing the facts surrounding Ouma’s death.

“We are fully cooperating with the investigative agencies, and I will continue to make myself available throughout the investigative process,” he said.

Fikirini further pledged to provide any assistance required by investigators to ensure the probe is concluded quickly and justice is served.

The National Police Service has not yet released further details on the circumstances surrounding Cecil Ouma’s death, as investigations continue.
