Natembeya Leads Leaders in Visiting Ailing Kwanza MP Ferdinand Wanyonyi After India Surgery

Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya on Monday led a delegation of political leaders to the home of Kwanza Member of Parliament Ferdinand Wanyonyi to wish him a speedy recovery following his return from India, where he underwent specialized medical treatment and knee surgery.

The visit came shortly after the legislator was discharged from hospital and returned to Kenya after receiving treatment abroad. According to Governor Natembeya, the visit was a show of solidarity and support from the county's leadership as Wanyonyi continues his recovery journey.

Speaking during the visit, the governor said the county leadership remained united in praying for the veteran legislator, who reportedly suffered a stroke while undergoing treatment in India.

"Today, I visited Hon. Ferdinand Wanyonyi, Member of Parliament for Kwanza Constituency, to personally wish him a speedy recovery. Having suffered a stroke while undergoing treatment in India, Hon. Wanyonyi remains in our thoughts and prayers," Natembeya said.

The governor praised Wanyonyi's years of dedicated public service, noting that his commitment to the people of Kwanza Constituency and Trans Nzoia County has left a lasting legacy.

He expressed optimism that the MP would make a full recovery and soon resume his parliamentary duties.

"Our prayers are with Hon. Wanyonyi, his family, and the people of Kwanza during this difficult period. We pray that the Almighty God grants him strength, healing, and good health as he recovers," the governor added.

Natembeya concluded by assuring the legislator of the county leadership's unwavering support, saying, "Get well soon, Mheshimiwa. We are praying for you and eagerly await your return."

The visit underscored the unity among Trans Nzoia leaders in standing with one of the county's longest-serving political figures as he continues his recovery after the successful medical procedure.
