Africa's Top Brands and Leaders Honoured at the 11th Elite Brands Awards International Gala Dinner
East Africa's finest organizations, entrepreneurs, institutions and business leaders were celebrated at the 11th Elite Brands Awards International Gala Dinner, held at the Argyle Grand Hotel in Nairobi. The prestigious event, organized by Jubilant Stewards of Africa (JSA) in partnership with the United SMEs Association of Kenya, Pacesetters International Research and Consultancy Ltd, and other strategic partners, recognized outstanding achievements in business leadership, innovation, customer service, corporate governance, and social impact.
The continental awards attracted a distinguished audience comprising senior government officials, business executives, entrepreneurs, development partners, professionals, media practitioners and corporate leaders from across Africa. Beyond recognizing excellence, the gala served as an important platform for networking, knowledge sharing and fostering partnerships aimed at accelerating Africa's economic transformation.
Unlike many conventional awards that focus primarily on financial performance, the Elite Brands Awards International employs the Organisational Performance Index (OPI), a comprehensive assessment framework that evaluates leadership effectiveness, service delivery, innovation, operational excellence, ethical governance, customer satisfaction and contribution to society. This rigorous methodology has earned the awards a reputation as one of Africa's most credible and respected recognition platforms.
Speaking during the ceremony, Jared Oundo, Executive Director of Jubilant Stewards of Africa, applauded the award recipients for demonstrating visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence.
"Today's winners represent the very best of African enterprise, innovation and leadership. Through their dedication to quality service, ethical business practices and meaningful community impact, they are helping shape a more prosperous and sustainable future for our continent. The Elite Brands Awards International exists to celebrate such excellence while inspiring others to pursue even higher standards of performance and accountability."
The event's Chief Guest, Cabinet Secretary for Co-operatives and MSME Development, Hon. Wycliffe Oparanya, emphasized that sustainable brands are built on trust, continuous innovation and ethical leadership.
He reaffirmed the Government's commitment to strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through progressive policies, affordable financing, capacity-building initiatives, MSME Connect and regional trade fairs that expand market access and unlock new economic opportunities.
The Cabinet Secretary further encouraged businesses to invest in their workforce, embrace innovation, remain responsive to customer needs and create opportunities for youth and women, noting that resilient enterprises are fundamental to inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
Among the evening's notable award recipients was Solar Spark Energy Kenya Ltd, whose Chief Executive Officer, Faith Nafula, described the recognition as a tribute to her team's dedication to expanding access to clean and sustainable energy across Kenya.
