Tarus Urges Chembulet Residents to Embrace Centralized Ambulance Services for Faster Emergency Response

Uasin Gishu County Clinical Services Chief Officer Ambrose Tarus has urged residents of Chembulet and surrounding areas to make full use of the county’s centralized ambulance system, stressing that timely access to emergency care can save lives.

Speaking during a farewell engagement for 410 Bridge stakeholders from Luciana, United States, Tarus encouraged residents to dial 0700027027 in cases of medical emergencies, noting that the coordinated dispatch system is designed to ensure quicker response and better coordination of emergency services across the county.

He reaffirmed the county government’s commitment to improving access to quality healthcare, saying ongoing investments in emergency response systems are part of broader efforts to strengthen service delivery at the community level.

Tarus also highlighted the long-standing partnership between the County Government of Uasin Gishu and international stakeholders from the United States, describing it as a key driver in improving healthcare outcomes in the region.

According to him, more than 34,000 HIV clients have benefited from treatment and related interventions supported through the collaboration, a milestone he said reflects the impact of sustained international cooperation in strengthening public health systems.

He further revealed that preparations are underway for the introduction of Lenacapavir, an innovative HIV prevention injection expected to provide long-term protection for high-risk populations once rolled out.

Tarus described the planned rollout as a significant step in the county’s fight against HIV and AIDS, adding that the health department remains focused on preventive, innovative, and community-centered healthcare solutions.

He praised the 410 Bridge partners for their continued support in healthcare, community empowerment, and improving the overall well-being of residents across Uasin Gishu County.
