Eldoret Gears Up for Landmark International Business Summit 2026 as KNCCI Calls for Greater Trade, Investment and Innovation

Eldoret City is preparing to host one of the region’s most significant business gatherings as the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) – Uasin Gishu Chapter announced the 4th Eldoret International Business Summit 2026, scheduled to take place from 23rd to 25th July 2026 at the Rupa Grounds in Eldoret.

The summit, which has grown into a premier platform for business engagement in the North Rift region, is expected to attract hundreds of participants, including business leaders, investors, innovators, policymakers, entrepreneurs, development partners, manufacturers, exporters, and representatives from both the public and private sectors.

Speaking ahead of the event, KNCCI Uasin Gishu Chairman Willy Kenei said the summit is designed to strengthen trade and investment opportunities while positioning Eldoret as a strategic economic hub within Kenya and the wider East African region.

Kenei noted that the annual gathering has become an important forum for fostering partnerships, showcasing innovations, and creating business opportunities that contribute to economic growth and job creation.

"The Eldoret International Business Summit continues to grow in stature and impact. As we prepare for the fourth edition, we are inviting businesses, investors, innovators, exhibitors, and development partners to join us in shaping the future of trade, investment, and enterprise development. Eldoret is increasingly becoming a gateway to Africa’s trade and innovation ecosystem, and this summit provides the perfect platform to unlock new opportunities," said Kenei.

The three-day summit will be held under the theme of promoting business growth, innovation, investment, and regional economic integration. Organizers expect discussions to focus on emerging business opportunities, manufacturing, agriculture, technology, logistics, entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and cross-border trade.

A Strategic Business Destination

Marketed as "Eldoret City – The Gateway to Africa’s Trade, Innovation and Economic Future," the summit seeks to leverage the city's growing reputation as a commercial and logistics center.

Located in the heart of Kenya's productive North Rift region, Eldoret has emerged as a key economic powerhouse due to its strategic location, strong agricultural base, expanding infrastructure, and vibrant entrepreneurial community. The city continues to attract investments in manufacturing, agribusiness, transport, real estate, education, and technology.

According to KNCCI, the summit will provide participants with opportunities to engage directly with industry leaders, government agencies, investors, and business support organizations while exploring partnerships that can accelerate economic transformation.

Platform for Networking and Business Growth

The event will feature a range of activities aimed at enhancing business visibility and facilitating strategic collaborations.

Among the opportunities available to participants are:

  • Business exhibitions

  • Corporate sponsorships

  • Investment networking sessions

  • Business-to-business (B2B) meetings

  • Business matching forums

  • Brand visibility and marketing opportunities

  • Strategic partnerships

  • Team registrations

  • Product and service showcases

The summit will also serve as a platform for entrepreneurs and startups to present innovative solutions to potential investors and partners while gaining exposure to regional and international markets.

Kenei emphasized that businesses of all sizes—from small enterprises to large corporations—stand to benefit from participating in the summit.

"Whether you are looking to expand your market, showcase your products and services, establish partnerships, or learn from industry experts, the Eldoret International Business Summit provides a unique environment for meaningful engagement and growth," he said.

Golf Tournament to Crown the Summit

One of the major highlights of the event will be the Eldoret International Business Summit Golf Tournament, scheduled for Saturday, 25th July 2026, at the historic Eldoret Club.

The tournament is expected to bring together corporate leaders, business executives, investors, entrepreneurs, and golf enthusiasts for a day of competition and networking in an informal setting.

Organizers say the golf event will provide participants with additional opportunities to strengthen professional relationships and explore business collaborations away from the conference environment.

The tournament will also offer avenues for:

  • Sponsorship opportunities

  • Exhibition opportunities

  • Team registrations

  • Networking and business matching

  • Corporate branding and visibility

KNCCI officials believe the combination of business discussions and sporting activities will enhance engagement among participants and create lasting connections.

Free Entry for Participants

In a move aimed at encouraging broader participation, organizers have announced that entry to the summit will be free of charge, making it accessible to entrepreneurs, students, investors, professionals, and members of the public interested in business and economic development.

The summit is expected to attract delegates from across Kenya and beyond, further strengthening Eldoret’s position as a center for commerce, innovation, and investment.

Call for Registration and Partnerships

KNCCI Uasin Gishu Chapter is urging businesses, institutions, development agencies, and investors to register early and take advantage of the available partnership opportunities.

The chamber is currently seeking exhibitors, sponsors, strategic partners, and stakeholders interested in supporting the event and engaging with a diverse business audience.

"This summit is not just an event; it is a movement toward building stronger enterprises, expanding markets, attracting investment, and creating sustainable economic opportunities for our region and country. We invite all stakeholders to be part of this transformative journey," Kenei said.

Interested participants can register, exhibit, sponsor, or partner with the organizers through the KNCCI Uasin Gishu Chapter.
