Toroitich Unveils Modern Assistant Chief’s Office in Marakwet West

 

Residents of Marakwet West are set to benefit from improved government services following the unveiling of a newly constructed assistant chief’s office in Jemunada, part of a broader initiative to modernize local administrative infrastructure.

Area MP Timothy Kipchumba Toroitich said the new facility reflects a shift toward more efficient and citizen-friendly public service delivery at the grassroots.

“The Jemunada Assistant Chief’s office represents the new face of local administration in Marakwet West. Our people deserve to be served in a dignified and conducive environment,” Toroitich said.

The modern office is part of an ongoing programme to upgrade chief’s and assistant chief’s offices across the constituency, aimed at enhancing working conditions for administrators while improving access to government services for residents.

Toroitich noted that the transformation of administrative infrastructure is critical in strengthening service delivery, conflict resolution, and coordination of government programmes at the local level.

“For a long time, many of our local administrators have operated in inadequate facilities. We are changing that by investing in modern, functional spaces that support their work and improve service to wananchi,” he added.

Local leaders and residents welcomed the development, expressing optimism that the improved facilities will enhance efficiency and responsiveness in handling community issues.

The project is part of a wider push by the legislator to invest in infrastructure that directly impacts service delivery, as the constituency continues to roll out similar projects in other locations.

Toroitich reaffirmed his commitment to transforming Marakwet West, emphasizing that strengthening grassroots administration remains a key pillar of his development agenda.
