Disturbance Reported at MMUST Lecture Hall, University Assures Normalcy

 


At Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), a disturbance was reported during a lecture session at the MEA 001 Lecture Hall on the afternoon of Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

In an internal memo dated March 26, 2026, the Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs) confirmed that university management had received reports of the incident and that investigations are currently underway to establish the cause and circumstances surrounding the disruption.

The memo, issued by Prof. Judah Ndiku, Registrar for Academic Affairs, reassured students and staff that the situation is under control and that normal university operations are continuing without interruption.

“Students are urged to continue attending their classes and observe all University Rules and Regulations as per the Students Handbook,” the memo stated, emphasizing the institution’s commitment to maintaining order and academic continuity.

While details about the nature of the disturbance remain limited, university authorities have indicated that appropriate measures will be taken once investigations are complete.

The communication was circulated to all students and copied to key university officials, including the Vice Chancellor, Deans, and student leadership, signaling the administration’s intent to keep stakeholders informed.
