RVTTI Unveils May 2026 Intake, Targets Surge in Demand for Technical Skills

Rift Valley Technical Training Institute has officially announced its May 2026 intake, opening doors to prospective students seeking practical, skills-based training in line with the country’s growing demand for technical expertise.

The institution said admissions will run from May 4 to May 25, 2026, with application and enrollment activities taking place daily between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at its campus. The intake is expected to attract a large number of applicants from across Kenya, particularly among youth looking for alternative pathways to employment outside traditional university education.

RVTTI revealed that it currently offers more than 100 courses across 10 academic departments, covering a wide spectrum of disciplines including engineering, information technology, business studies, hospitality, and applied sciences. The courses are designed to align with industry needs, ensuring that graduates are equipped with relevant and marketable skills.

In its announcement, the institute underscored its commitment to making education accessible, noting that tuition fees have been significantly reduced to as low as KSh 22,396 per module. This move, the institution said, is aimed at easing the financial burden on students and encouraging more young people to enroll in technical and vocational training.

The institute also highlighted its emphasis on hands-on practical training, with students gaining direct experience through workshops, field projects, and industrial attachments. RVTTI pointed to its modern facilities and well-equipped laboratories as key assets in delivering quality training that meets current technological and industrial standards.

“Our goal is to produce graduates who are not only knowledgeable but also highly skilled and ready to contribute effectively in the workforce,” the institute noted.
