Plane Veers Off Runway at Wilson Airport, All Passengers Safe

An aircraft carrying 39 passengers veered off the runway while landing at Wilson Airport on Thursday evening, according to a statement from the Kenya Airports Authority.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:55 p.m. local time as the plane arrived from Kisumu International Airport. Despite the alarming nature of the event, authorities confirmed that all passengers and crew members on board escaped unharmed, with no injuries reported.

The aircraft remains at the scene as recovery operations continue. Officials have not yet disclosed the cause of the incident.

Airport operations at Wilson Airport were not disrupted and continue as normal, the authority said.
