Nairobi Youth Set to Launch Businesses After Wezesha Vijana Graduation

A new wave of young entrepreneurs is emerging in Nairobi following the graduation of participants from the Wezesha Vijana Program at PC Kinyanjui Technical Training Institute. The program, spearheaded by the MSEA Nairobi Regional Office in collaboration with Catholic Relief Services, aims to equip youth with essential entrepreneurship and business skills.

Implemented in partnership with eMobilis Technology Training Institute and supported by the Safaricom Foundation, the initiative provides graduates with hands-on training, mentorship, and start-up support. As part of their graduation package, beneficiaries receive start-up capital and equipment to help them launch sustainable businesses.

“The program not only empowers youth with business knowledge but also strengthens their capacity to contribute to the growth of Kenya’s MSME sector,” said program coordinators. Graduates will now enter a mentorship phase, receiving guidance to ensure their enterprises thrive in the competitive business environment.

The Wezesha Vijana Program exemplifies efforts to nurture young talent, turning entrepreneurial dreams into reality and driving economic growth at the grassroots level.
