Moi University Celebrates World Oral Health Day with Free Community Dental Services
Today, Moi University joined the global community in celebrating World Oral Health Day under the theme “A Happy Mouth is a Happy Life.” The Moi University School of Dentistry hosted a special outreach event offering free dental screenings, consultations, and treatments to the local community.
The initiative welcomed people of all ages, with the university’s team of dental professionals working tirelessly to restore smiles and promote oral health awareness. Attendees benefited from comprehensive check-ups, preventive care, and practical advice on maintaining good oral hygiene.
“This day is about more than just teeth—it’s about overall wellbeing. When your mouth is healthy, your life is happier,” said a representative from the School of Dentistry.
The outreach was made possible through partnerships with key organizations, including Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH), Kenya Dental Association, Haleon, Colgate, Uasin Gishu County, Dr Diana and Associates, Sai Pharma, Pepsodent, and 64 Dental Suites.
Community members praised the initiative for its accessibility and the quality of care provided. “It’s wonderful to get free treatment and learn how to take better care of my teeth,” said one attendee.
