Lamu East MP Ruweida Obo Mohamed Extends Eid al-Fitr Greetings, Calls for Unity and Peace
Member of Parliament for Lamu East, Capt. Ruweida Obo Mohamed, has extended warm Eid al-Fitr greetings to Muslims across Kenya, urging citizens to embrace unity, peace, and collective progress as communities celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In her message, Capt. Ruweida expressed gratitude for the spiritual journey of Ramadan, highlighting reflection, compassion, and devotion as key elements of the sacred period. “Alhamdulillahi. On this special day of Eid al-Fitr, I join the Muslim community in giving thanks and celebrating the blessings of the holy month,” she said.
The lawmaker emphasized the importance of peace and coexistence as foundations for sustainable development, describing Eid as an opportunity to reinforce bonds that hold communities together.
“As we mark this occasion, I pray for lasting peace, unity, and understanding among our people. May our communities remain strong, bound by respect, harmony, and a shared commitment to a better future,” Capt. Ruweida added.
She called on all Kenyans to embrace the spirit of Eid by fostering mutual respect, harmony, and understanding across communities, urging citizens to work collectively toward national stability and progress.
