Gang Raid in Kipkarren Estate Leaves Trail of Destruction and Theft

 


Residents of Kipkarren Estate in Eldoret are counting losses after a group of masked thugs raided a residential property popularly known as Kokwas, leaving behind widespread destruction and stolen valuables.

The property, reportedly owned by Kipkenyo Ward MCA David Kimeli, also known as “Letting,” was attacked in what witnesses described as a well-coordinated night operation. According to tenants, the gang stormed the premises, vandalized houses, and made away with personal belongings of unknown value.

Some of the affected residents said they were caught off guard as the attackers moved from one unit to another, destroying doors and windows before looting electronics, household goods, and other valuables.

During the raid, the assailants allegedly claimed that the property had been constructed on grabbed public land, though authorities have not confirmed these allegations.

Police have since launched investigations into the incident. Security officers who visited the scene indicated that crucial leads have already been established, raising hopes of possible arrests.

The incident has sparked concern among residents of Kipkarren Estate, with many calling for enhanced security and swift action from authorities to bring those responsible to justice.

No injuries have been officially reported so far, but tenants say the psychological and financial impact of the attack is significant.

Authorities have urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward as efforts to track down the suspects continue.
