Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju Reported Missing in Nairobi

Former Cabinet Secretary and veteran politician Raphael Tuju has been reported missing, according to statements from his family and legal representatives. The former Jubilee Party Secretary‑General has not been reachable since last night, with his mobile phones reportedly switched off, raising serious concern among relatives and associates. 

Tuju’s vehicle was found abandoned early this morning along Miotoni Lane in the affluent Karen suburb of Nairobi. The discovery of the unattended motor vehicle has intensified efforts by his family and lawyers to locate him and prompted the filing of a missing person report with local police authorities. 

According to the information circulating on social media and shared by sources close to the family, law enforcement officers from the Karen Police Station notified Tuju’s son after his car was spotted on the quiet residential lane. However, there has been no confirmed official update from the Kenya Police Service on the circumstances surrounding his disappearance. 

Tuju, a seasoned media professional‑turned‑politician who has served as a cabinet minister and parliamentarian, has been entangled in a high‑profile legal and property dispute in recent weeks. This includes court battles over the fate of prime real estate in Karen and related appeals in the appellate courts.
