Ruiru MP Simon King’ara Commissions Mwalimu Farm Police Station and Staff Houses

Ruiru Member of Parliament Hon. Simon King’ara today officially commissioned the Mwalimu Farm Police Station and Staff Houses located in Mwalimu Farm, Gatong’ora Ward, marking a major milestone in strengthening local security infrastructure.

The project was fully funded by the Ruiru National Government–Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) and is aimed at enhancing security service delivery while improving working and living conditions for police officers serving the area.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. King’ara reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising safety, security, and community development, noting that improved policing facilities are critical to crime prevention and public confidence.

“This facility will not only enhance security response in Gatong’ora Ward but also ensure our officers operate from a dignified and well-equipped environment,” said the MP.

Residents and local leaders welcomed the project, describing it as timely and impactful, especially as the area continues to experience rapid population growth. The police station and staff houses are expected to significantly improve response times and strengthen collaboration between the community and security agencies.

Hon. King’ara reiterated that his leadership remains focused on practical development initiatives that directly improve the lives of Ruiru residents, with NG-CDF resources continuing to play a central role in delivering grassroots projects.
