Wahome Ndegwa Enters Race for LSK General Member Seat
Founding Nyandarua County Assembly Speaker Hon. James Wahome Ndegwa has declared his bid for the position of General Member Representative of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), pitching experience, institutional stability, and respect for the rule of law as the pillars of his candidature.
In a statement to members, Mr. Ndegwa said he was offering himself for election backed by over 25 years of legal practice and leadership experience, arguing that the Society needs steady hands amid growing professional and constitutional challenges.
“The Law Society must remain a credible custodian of the rule of law, a dignified defender of advocates, and a unifying professional institution that values both experience and innovation,” he said.
He underscored the need for fiscal prudence, institutional memory, and reforms that strengthen — rather than weaken — the Society’s long-term integrity.
Mr. Ndegwa said his leadership philosophy is anchored on measured reform, respectful engagement with members, and principled stewardship, aimed at improving services while safeguarding the standing of the profession.
Positioning himself as a voice of experience and balance, he urged advocates to back leadership that unites the bar and protects its legacy.
