KUPPET Uasin Gishu Executive Secretary Elijah Maiyo Thanks Teachers After Unopposed Election
The Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Uasin Gishu Branch Executive Secretary, Elijah Maiyo, has expressed gratitude to teachers following his election unopposed, describing the outcome as a clear demonstration of trust, respect, and confidence in his leadership.
Speaking after the conclusion of the union’s electoral process, Maiyo said the unopposed election reflects the members’ belief in continuity and stability within the branch, as well as confidence in the direction the union has taken under his stewardship.
“This outcome shows the respect and trust teachers have placed in my leadership,” Maiyo said. “It is a strong vote of confidence from our members and a clear indication that they support continuity in the affairs of the branch.”
The executive secretary noted that the unity displayed by teachers during the election period is a positive sign for the union as it focuses on advancing the welfare of post-primary education teachers in Uasin Gishu County. He emphasized that the mandate comes with greater responsibility to serve members diligently, transparently, and inclusively.
Maiyo reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening KUPPET’s presence in the county, enhancing engagement with stakeholders, and safeguarding teachers’ rights and working conditions.
