"You Are Made for Greatness" – Gladys Shollei Encourages KCSE Candidates Ahead of National Exams
As thousands of candidates across the country prepare to sit for their national exams, Uasin Gishu Women Representative Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei has delivered a heartfelt and motivational message aimed at inspiring confidence and resilience among the students.
In a statement released earlier today, Hon. Shollei urged candidates to walk into the examination rooms with pride, courage, and a belief in their ability to succeed, reminding them that their journey of hard work and sacrifice has prepared them for this defining moment.
"Dear Candidate, you are made for greatness! Your teachers have taught you, your parents have sacrificed to put you through school, and you have worked hard,” said Shollei. “Many years ago, I was a candidate like you. I remember being nervous, excited, and sometimes even afraid. Now that I am older and wiser, I can tell you that the classes and studies are the hardest part — and they are now behind you."
The legislator emphasized that the upcoming exams are not a measure of a student’s worth, but rather an opportunity to showcase the knowledge and discipline developed over the years. She also encouraged students to remain calm, focused, and confident.
"Therefore, walk into that exam room with your head held high... AND ACE THOSE EXAMS!" she added in her rousing message.
Shollei's message has been widely shared on social media and education platforms, with many Kenyans praising her for taking the time to uplift and support students at such a critical time. Her words come amid ongoing efforts by leaders and educators across the country to offer moral support and ensure that learners are mentally and emotionally prepared for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams.
Education officials in Uasin Gishu County have echoed Shollei's sentiments, urging students to take the exams seriously, while also reminding them that success is not only about results but also about character, perseverance, and vision.
