In the quiet town of Meru, people still whisper about the strange transformation of Mutuma, a man once known for sleeping in bars and starting fights after every drink. Just a year ago, Mutuma was a man with no direction. His days began and ended with alcohol. The locals at Maua Stage Bar nicknamed him “Pastor Pilsner,” because he always quoted the Bible when drunk, saying, “Even Jesus turned water into wine!” His family had given up on him. His wife left, his children refused to talk to him, and his mother constantly wept, praying that one day he would change.

drinking with friends, but after the bar closed, he decided to walk home
through the forest path — something he had done countless times before.
