ELDOWAS Mourns Loss of Long-Serving Technician, Mr. Stanley Kiptugen
The Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company (ELDOWAS) is mourning the loss of one of its longest-serving employees, Mr. Stanley Kiptugen, who passed away on October 18, 2025, after a short illness. He was a Water Technician stationed at the Sosiani Water Treatment Plant.
Mr. Kiptugen joined ELDOWAS on August 1, 1995, and served the company with unwavering commitment for over 30 years. His dedication to ensuring clean and safe water for the people of Eldoret earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and the wider community.
A solemn memorial gathering was held today by the ELDOWAS fraternity, where staff and management came together to remember and celebrate Mr. Kiptugen’s life and legacy. Described by colleagues as calm, hardworking, and deeply principled, Mr. Kiptugen played a key role in maintaining the reliability and quality of water services throughout his career.
“Stanley was more than a colleague—he was a friend, a mentor, and a pillar in our operations. His passion for his work and his quiet strength inspired us all,” said an ELDOWAS manager during the tribute.
Beyond his technical contributions, Mr. Kiptugen was known for his humility, collaborative spirit, and deep sense of responsibility. His passing leaves a significant void in the ELDOWAS family.
The company extended heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Plans are underway to support his family during this difficult time.
