Eldoret man walks again after seven years in a wheelchair following traditional healing session in his village

Residents of Eldoret are still trying to comprehend what they witnessed after a 51-year-old man who had been confined to a wheelchair for seven years suddenly stood up and walked following a traditional healing session. The man, identified as John Kiptoo, says he had tried every available medical option before turning to natural and spiritual alternatives.

Kiptoo, a former carpenter, suffered spinal injuries after a road accident in 2018. He underwent several surgeries and physiotherapy sessions without improvement. “Doctors told me to accept my condition,” he said softly. “I had given up on walking again. Then one day, a neighbour suggested I try a holistic approach — to cleanse the spirit and restore balance to my body.”

He explained that the healing process began with herbal baths and daily affirmations led by a spiritual practitioner. The third session, held in his home compound, is when things changed. “I felt heat rise through my back and legs. My muscles began twitching. Within moments, I stood up,” Kiptoo said, recalling the emotional scene. to read more click here
