CPMK Solidarity Statement with the Republic of Cuba on the United Nations General Assembly Vote Against the U.S. Blockade
By John Kariuki
The Communist Party Marxist Kenya (CPMK) stands in firm and unbreakable solidarity with the heroic people of Cuba and their enduring socialist revolution.
In a statement released by the Party, Secretary General Booker Ngesa Omole extended warm revolutionary congratulations to the 165 nations that voted overwhelmingly at the United Nations General Assembly to demand an immediate end to the unjust and illegal blockade imposed by the United States on the Republic of Cuba.
For more than six decades, this inhumane blockade has sought to suffocate the Cuban economy, punish its people, and undermine the socialist achievements of the revolution. Yet Cuba has remained steadfast, standing tall in the defense of its sovereignty, advancing social justice, and extending solidarity to oppressed peoples around the world through its remarkable contributions in healthcare, education, and international cooperation.
Booker Omole noted that once again, the United States and its few allies found themselves isolated before the moral conscience of humanity. He emphasized that the overwhelming vote at the United Nations is not just a diplomatic act but a profound expression of the world’s rejection of imperial aggression and its affirmation of Cuba’s right to self-determination.
“This is a decisive moment in history,” said Omole. “The collapse of unilateral dominance and the rise of a multipolar world signal the dawn of new global relations built on respect, sovereignty, and equality among nations.”
The Communist Party Marxist Kenya reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Cuban people, their leadership, and their socialist path. The Party recognized Cuba as a shining symbol of revolutionary resilience and a beacon of hope for all nations resisting imperial domination.
CPMK called upon all progressive movements, trade unions, and anti-imperialist organizations across Africa and the world to stand shoulder to shoulder with Cuba until the blockade is lifted completely.
