Self-Help Group Empowerment Event Set for Ngenyilel Ward on September 5
Residents of Ngenyilel Ward are gearing up for a major empowerment event aimed at uplifting local self-help groups, scheduled to take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Kipkaren Market.
According to the area Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Benjamin Natui, the event will bring together various community-based groups for training, resource sharing, and capacity building. The event’s Chief Guest will be Uasin Gishu Senator Hon. Jackson Mandago, a respected leader known for his long-standing support of grassroots development initiatives.
Speaking to the press, Hon. Natui emphasized the importance of self-help groups in community development and poverty alleviation.
“This event is about empowering our people with the tools and knowledge they need to grow economically. Self-help groups are the backbone of many households, especially in rural areas. We are honored to have Senator Mandago join us for this important occasion,” said Natui.
The event is expected to attract dozens of self-help groups from across the ward and beyond, with discussions and training sessions planned on areas such as agribusiness, table banking, youth and women empowerment, and access to government support programs.
Hon. Natui extended a warm invitation to all residents of Ngenyilel Ward and the surrounding areas to attend and participate in the day’s activities.
“Everyone is welcome — from group members to youth, women, and community leaders. Let us come together, learn, network, and move forward as a united community,” he added.
