Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi Pays Tribute to Late Rev. Mildred Ayiemba Osotsi Wanyama

Kapseret Member of Parliament Hon. Oscar Sudi joined a host of dignitaries in Soy, Uasin Gishu County, to mourn and celebrate the life of the late Rev. Mildred Ayiemba Osotsi Wanyama, the mother of FKF Vice President McDonald Mariga and international football icon Victor Wanyama.

Hon. Sudi was accompanied by Uasin Gishu Governor H.E. Jonathan Chelilim Bii, Soy MP David Kiplagat, and Mogotio MP Reuben Kiborek in expressing their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family during the solemn ceremony.

Speaking during the gathering, MP Sudi hailed the late Rev. Wanyama as a strong woman of faith and a pillar in her family and community. He noted that her legacy would live on through the accomplishments of her sons and the lives she touched through her ministry.

“As we gather here to bid farewell to a remarkable mother and servant of God, we also celebrate a life well lived,” said Sudi. “Rev. Mildred Ayiemba was not only a spiritual leader, but also a source of strength and inspiration to her family and to many others. Her unwavering support for her children’s dreams, particularly in football, is a lesson to all of us on the power of faith and family.”

The late Rev. Wanyama, a dedicated church leader, was widely respected for her spiritual leadership and the nurturing role she played in raising two of Kenya’s most prominent football figures.

Sudi offered prayers for comfort and healing to the Wanyama family, emphasizing the community’s solidarity during this difficult time.

“May God grant the family peace and strength during this time of mourning. And may Rev. Mildred Ayiemba Osotsi Wanyama’s soul rest in eternal peace,” he concluded.
