Murkomen Mourns Elgeyo-Marakwet MCA Jeremiah Biwott Toryebe
Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration Kipchumba Murkomen has mourned the passing of Endo Ward Member of County Assembly (MCA) Hon. Jeremiah Biwott Toryebe, describing him as a dedicated and selfless leader whose service left a lasting impact on the people of Elgeyo-Marakwet County and the wider Kerio Valley region.
In a condolence message, Murkomen extended his sympathies to the family, friends, and residents of Endo Ward following the death of the late MCA, noting that Hon. Toryebe’s leadership was marked by humility, commitment, and a deep passion for community service.
“Hon. Toryebe was a devoted public servant who touched many lives through selfless service to society, first as a teacher and later as a Member of County Assembly,” Murkomen said. “His contribution to sustainable peace and development in the Kerio Valley will be fondly remembered.”
The Interior CS lauded the late MCA’s role in promoting cohesion and development in a region that has faced security and socio-economic challenges, saying his efforts complemented government initiatives aimed at fostering lasting peace and progress.
Murkomen assured the bereaved family and residents of Endo Ward of the government’s support during the period of mourning, adding that the late leader’s legacy of service would continue to inspire current and future leaders.
