Governor Jonathan Bii Casts Vote in UDA Grassroots Elections
Uasin Gishu Governor Jonathan Bii on Tuesday cast his vote at Kapsang Primary School as the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) conducted its grassroots elections across the county.
Speaking after voting, Governor Bii underscored the importance of the exercise in strengthening internal party democracy and empowering members to choose their leaders from the grassroots level.
“This process is a clear demonstration of our commitment to democratic values as a party. I encourage all members to participate peacefully and uphold unity before, during, and after the elections,” the governor said.
He commended all aspirants who presented themselves for various party positions, noting that their participation reflects confidence in the democratic process and dedication to serving the party and the people.
“I wish all our party candidates well and commend them for stepping forward to take part in this democratic exercise,” Governor Bii added.
The UDA grassroots elections are aimed at establishing party leadership structures at the polling station, ward, constituency, and county levels, laying a foundation for effective party organization ahead of future electoral contests.
