Makueni County Woman Representative Hon Rose Museo Mumo has reaffirmed her commitment to grassroots economic empowerment through a bold show of support for the Emali Municipality Bodaboda Sacco. The initiative is part of her broader mission to uplift youth-led enterprises and promote structured growth within the informal sector.

During a recent visit to Emali, Hon Museo met with bodaboda operators and Sacco officials, commending their organization and discipline. She acknowledged their role as not just transport providers but critical enablers of local commerce and community mobility.

“These young men and women are at the heart of everyday life in our towns and villages. We must give them every tool and opportunity to thrive,” said Hon Museo.

Her engagement focused on supporting the Sacco through advocacy for access to credit, training opportunities, road safety awareness, and provision of safety equipment. She emphasized the need to formalize and strengthen such groups to ensure they benefit fully from available national and county development programs.

The Emali Bodaboda Sacco leadership welcomed the support, stating it would boost the morale of members and create new opportunities for growth. Riders present expressed gratitude for the Woman Representative’s continued focus on youth and community welfare.

Hon Museo’s visit is just the latest in a series of engagements with informal sector groups across Makueni County. Her leadership has been widely praised for going beyond political promises and delivering practical, people-centered solutions.

Community members hailed her dedication and described the empowerment efforts as timely and transformational. Many noted that such initiatives provide not just economic benefits but also promote dignity and self-reliance among youth.

Hon Museo concluded her visit with a pledge to continue championing structured empowerment that creates sustainable livelihoods and reduces vulnerability among informal workers. She urged bodaboda operators to maintain discipline, unity, and professionalism as they expand their reach and impact across the county.

Through consistent support and visible leadership, Hon Rose Museo Mumo continues to embody the spirit of servant leadership that listens, acts, and uplifts.
